Description

Smart Wire Sign Ballast | 2-4 Lamps | T8HO or T12HO | 12’-32’ Lamp Length

In 2014, the Department of Energy outlawed magnetic sign ballasts due to their inefficiency. Electronic sign ballasts have many advantages over magnetic ballasts in addition to their energy savings. To make upgrading to an electronic ballast as easy as possible, Keystone offers two solutions: Smart Wire and Parallel Wire.

Caution

Use only non-shunted lamp-holders. Do not install product in a fixture with shunted lamp-holders (found in all fixtures using instant start ballasts). If the current lamp-holders are shunted, remove them and replace them with non-shunted lamp-holders. Make new connections directly to terminals as indicated above.
