The Vickerman G125521LED is a 25 ft x 18 in. green grand teton artificial Christmas garland. It carries 750 PVC tips, which shape out by hand into a full, even run. It arrives pre-lit with 300 warm white LED lights, so there is nothing to string.
How Much Garland Do You Need?
Each piece runs 25 feet, which is long enough to cover most single spans on its own. Garland looks best with slack in it, so plan on about 1.5 times the length of the span you are covering:
- One piece covers a staircase banister of roughly 17 feet.
- It will also run a mantel, a doorway, and an archway from the same piece if they are close together.
- For a full roofline or a long porch rail, measure the run and divide by 17 feet to get the number of pieces.
Runs join end to end, so buy in whole pieces and trim placement rather than cutting the garland itself.
Where It Works
- Mantels and shelves: drape the center and let both ends fall, securing with removable hooks underneath the lip.
- Staircase banisters: fasten at the newel post and every few feet with floral wire or zip ties, letting the garland swag between fixings.
- Doorways and archways: run up both sides and across the top, joining pieces at the corners where the seam is hidden.
- Porch rails and columns: wrap in a spiral, or run straight along the top rail for a cleaner line.
- Near an outlet: pre-lit runs need a power source, so plan the start of the run around where the cord will reach.
