This 4-foot LED linear strip light with motion sensor combines selectable wattage, selectable color temperature and automatic occupancy control in one commercial fixture. Microwave Motion Sensor Control
The included microwave motion sensor detects movement and automatically controls the fixture according to the selected sensor settings. The sensor can be configured for adjustable detection area, hold time, daylight threshold, standby dimming level and standby period.
Microwave sensing can respond to movement without requiring the same direct line of sight as a traditional passive infrared sensor. This makes the fixture well suited for storage rooms, corridors, utility areas and other commercial spaces where shelving, partitions or the fixture diffuser may partially obstruct the sensing area.
Adjustable Occupancy Settings
The detection area can be adjusted to 25%, 50%, 75% or 100%. Contractors can also configure how long the fixture remains at full output after motion is no longer detected.
After the hold time expires, the fixture can dim to a standby level of 10%, 20%, 30% or 50%. Depending on the selected programming, the fixture can remain at the standby level or switch off after the standby period ends.
Daylight Threshold and Dusk-to-Dawn Operation
The microwave sensor includes an adjustable daylight threshold. When sufficient ambient light is available, the fixture can remain off even when movement is detected. When the available light drops below the selected threshold, the fixture responds to occupancy according to the programmed settings.
The sensor can also support dusk-to-dawn behavior and daylight-harvesting functions when configured according to the sensor instructions.
Selectable Wattage and Nominal Output
Switch 1 sets the fixture to 30W, 35W or 40W. Based on the listed efficacy of 140 lm/W, the fixture provides approximately 4,200 nominal lumens at 30W, 4,900 nominal lumens at 35W and 5,600 nominal lumens at 40W.
The selectable driver allows contractors to stock one fixture for several room types instead of ordering separate wattage-specific strip lights. Select the setting according to the mounting height, fixture spacing and required light level.
Selectable Color Temperature
Switch 2 selects 3500K Neutral White, 4000K Cool White, 5000K Daylight or 6500K Super Daylight. The field-adjustable settings allow the fixture to match existing lighting or meet different project specifications without changing the complete luminaire.
Fixtures installed together in the same visible area should be set to the same color temperature before commissioning.
0-10V Dimming
The LED driver supports 0-10V dimming with compatible commercial controls. Connect the purple conductor to dim positive and the pink conductor to dim negative when external dimming control is required.
The fixture may also be operated without an external 0-10V dimmer. Follow the supplied wiring instructions and applicable electrical-code requirements.
Surface-Mount or Suspended Installation
The fixture can be mounted directly to a suitable ceiling or suspended from approved structural supports. Surface mounting is appropriate for finished ceilings, utility rooms and retrofit applications. Suspension mounting is useful in open-ceiling warehouses, workshops and commercial spaces where the fixture must be lowered to the required mounting height.
Job-specific suspension cables, anchors and structural fasteners should be selected according to the ceiling construction and installation conditions.
Fluorescent Strip-Light Replacement
This fixture is designed for new construction and replacement of traditional 4-foot fluorescent strip lights. Selectable wattage and color temperature allow the contractor to adjust the fixture after evaluating the existing installation rather than relying only on the lamp count or fluorescent wattage being removed.
Verify the required lumen output, mounting height and fixture spacing before completing a one-for-one replacement.
Before You Order
Confirm that the available branch voltage is between 100V and 277V. Verify that the 48.03-inch fixture length and approximately 3-inch housing width and height fit the installation area.
Determine whether the fixture will be surface mounted or suspended and confirm that suitable structural supports are available. Review the desired sensor sequence, including detection area, hold time, standby level and daylight threshold, before commissioning.
The lumen values shown are nominal calculations based on the listed 140 lm/W efficacy. Use verified photometric data when completing a formal lighting layout.
What Is Included
The package includes the 4-foot LED linear strip fixture, integrated selectable LED driver, LED light engine, diffuser, wattage selector, CCT selector and plug-and-play microwave motion sensor.
What Is Not Included
Suspension cables, ceiling anchors, external 0-10V wall dimmer, Bluetooth controls and remote programming accessories are not included unless specifically stated on the order.
Installation
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local requirements. Disconnect power before installation or service.
Connect black to line, white to neutral and green to ground. Connect the purple and pink conductors to a compatible 0-10V control when external dimming is required. Secure the fixture to the ceiling or approved suspension system, install the microwave sensor, and set the wattage and CCT before closing the fixture.
Restore power and test the fixture and sensor. Adjust the occupancy settings as needed for the mounting height, room layout and required sequence of operation.
