The TCP 20B50 fluorescent emergency ballast is designed to work with AC ballasts and convert existing or new fluorescent fixtures into emergency lighting. When there is a power loss, the 20B50 switches to an emergency mode and operates either one or two lamps for 90 minutes. Once AC power is restored, the unit returns automatically to its charging mode. This emergency ballast produces up to 1400 lumens initial light output and will support lamps of wattage varying from 8W-215W T5-T12, or 18W-50W 4-pin long compact fluorescent lamps. It can also be used for single-, double-, triple-, and quadruple-lamp electronic, standard, energy-saving and dimming AC ballasts only if it is used in an emergency fixture without an AC ballast.
